The Hospital Universitario Son Espases in Palma de Mallorca has started the implementation of MANSIS as an Integral Management System for Assets, Infrastructures and Maintenance.

The new Hospital Universitario Son Espases in Palma de Mallorca, which replaces the Hospital Universitario Son Dureta, has begun the implementation of MANSIS as an Integral Management System for Assets, Infrastructures and Maintenance.

This new hospital is the most important infrastructure that the government of the Balearic Islands has tackled so far and occupies a total built surface of more than 172,000 square metres, with a capacity of 1,020 hospital beds (more than half of these beds will be individual), 26 operating theatres, 107 intensive care boxes, 40 boxes for emergency care, and 230 spaces for consultations, serving a population of 330,000 inhabitants.

MEGA Sistemas implements the latest version of MANSIS (Hospital version) making the necessary parameterisations for the integration of MANSIS with the current computer systems of the Hospital.

This implementation will mean, through the management of shared processes of MANSIS, to control all the activity carried out in the hospital in terms of:

  • Asset and Patrimony Management
  • Integration with the Notifications Management System from the ward/services.
  • Work Orders Management – Corrective Maintenance
  • Conductive, Preventive and Technical-Legal Maintenance
  • Management of contracts with external suppliers
  • Shift Management
  • Purchasing
  • Warehouse
  • Internal quality
  • Works Control
  • Control panel

As part of this process, the existing data will also be migrated.

The necessary modules for the management of the warehouses will also be implemented with MANSIS through the labelling of all articles with barcodes.
