In 2017, the Andalusian Healthcare Authority (SAS) launched an international public tender for the “supply and implementation of a corporate information system for the maintenance and integrated management of all assets and healthcare infrastructures administered by SAS across the region”

Andalucía is the most populated region in Spain with more than 8.500.000 inhabitants, comprising eight provinces: Sevilla, Córdoba, Granada, Malaga, Jaén, Almería, Huelva and Cádiz.

In November 2017, Mega Sistemas was appointed to implement MANSIS as the information system to manage all public assets and healthcare infrastructures in Andalusia.

Project profile:

Project kick-off: January 2018

Duration: 24 months (implementation)

General objective: standardizing the asset management methodology among the fourteen Healthcare Divisions of SAS in the eight Andalusian provinces. Main assets under management are:

  • 176 hospitals
  • 518 primary health care centers
  • 10 other buildings (warehouses and administrative buildings)
  • More than 5,000 users

Contract specific objectives:

A) Implementing the modules and functionalities requested for the management of shared processes throughout the region:

  • Real estate/investment management
  • Incident/hazard management
  • Work Orders (WO)-Corrective Maintenance
  • Conductive and Preventive Maintenance
  • Compliance
  • Outsourced services management
  • Supplier management
  • Purchasing and warehouse management
  • Construction projects management

B) Integration with existing systems that interact with assets, such as

  • Purchasing system
  • Human Resources Management System
  • Active Directory
  • SCADAS at hospital level

HOW DID MANSIS MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE SAS PROJECT?

MANSIS was able to provide 159 mandatory (and exclusionary) functionalities requested under the terms of reference; and more than 164 optional functionalities, such as:
